Potato bites in aromatic spices are a hit at every party. No matter how many you prepare, they disappear down to the last crumb. No one will miss store-bought chips. Luckily, you can easily prepare them in your kitchen.

The potato is a vegetable chameleon because you can prepare many delicacies from it. We go crazy for fries, fry potato pancakes, make smooth purée, or roast them on a campfire. In this recipe, it's not just a side dish for the main course but a standalone snack that delights from the first crunch.

Crispy twisted potato chips

All you need is a few simple ingredients and some time to fry. The delight of crispiness is definitely guaranteed. They are perfect for parties, family movie nights, or board game gatherings with friends.

They will be a hit at any party and served with various sauces, such as garlic sauce, ketchup, or mayonnaise. You can also season them with other spices, such as ground chili pepper, which will add spiciness. Crispy homemade potato chips taste so good that you'll forget about the store-bought ones.

Ingredients:

  • 3 large potatoes, preferably type C
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried garlic
  • 1 tablespoon herbes de Provence
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

Step 1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly but do not peel them. Cut into thin slices, preferably using a mandoline slicer. Transfer to a bowl of cold water and set aside for 20 minutes. This will remove excess starch from the potatoes and make the chips even crispier.

Step 2. Wrap each potato slice in a roll and skewer it on a long skewer stick. Dip in hot oil and fry until the potatoes are golden brown. Carefully remove using metal tongs.
