Elon Musk's father: Putin is "a very stable and pleasant man"
Errol Musk, Elon Musk's father, was a special guest at the Forum of the Future hosted in Moscow. During his speech, he praised Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling him "a very stable and pleasant man." The event was organized by a Russian ultranationalist organization. Among the guests, there are many pro-Kremlin speakers.
"Errol Musk, 79, was speaking at the two-day Forum of the Future 2050 event, which also features George Galloway, the former MP, and Alex Jones, the American radio host known for promoting conspiracy theories," reported The Times.
During his speech, he praised Russian President Vladimir Putin and commented on Elon's quarrel with President Donald Trump. As The Times reminds, the forum brought up discussions on topics such as "Russian Space: The Race for Mars" and "The Battle for Hearts and Minds: The Ideology of Sovereign Russia."
Errol Musk and Vladimir Putin
Musk commented on Vladimir Putin, stating, "I think he [Putin] is a very impressive man, he has proved that, a very stable impressive man." He also told Russian media he had been informed that "life in Russia had improved significantly over the years," recalls Tass. Errol Musk stated it is "apparently" because of "good leadership." That is why, if he had the chance, he would "ask him [Putin] 'Can you teach me some good leadership?'"
Errol Musk also praised Russia and Moscow, claiming that the picture of Russia is highly distorted in the Western media. "I couldn’t believe that this city [Moscow], like someone said earlier, is like Rome. It’s exactly like Rome. We must change the perception. And people in Europe said to me, 'Whatever you do, don’t go to Russia.' Why? What are they talking about? It’s nonsense," he stated.
Errol Musk on Elon Musk's dispute with President Trump
The Telegraph informs that speaking at the conference, Errol Musk stated that Elon will lose in his dispute with President Trump, stating Musk made a "mistake" by challenging him. "Trump will prevail – he’s the president, he was elected as the president. So, you know, Elon made a mistake, I think. But he is tired, he is stressed," Errol Musk said.
Additionally, Musk's father claimed that Elon suffers from "PTSD from the White House," adding that "You know they [Trump and Musk - ed.] have been under a lot of stress for five months – you know – give them a break."
Nevertheless, despite the outbreak, Errol Musk believes his son and American president will once again be on friendly terms, claiming the dispute is "just a small thing" that would "be over tomorrow."
