In April, the company Atlas Intel conducted a survey revealing a drop in support for U.S. President Donald Trump. The study, cited by "Newsweek," was conducted from April 10-14 with a sample of 2,347 adult Americans. It found that 52 percent of respondents disapproved of Trump's actions since he took office, and 56 percent believed he is handling the economy in a "terrible/very poor" way.

One major reason for the decline in support is Trump's trade policy, which includes imposing tariffs on many countries. As many as 51 percent of Americans oppose these actions, while only 23 percent support them.

Compared to March, when 48 percent of respondents criticized his economic policy, the number has now risen to 56 percent. This proportion of respondents claims that Trump is doing a "terrible/very poor" job with the economy.

The issue of immigration has also contributed to the decline in support for Trump. In April, his immigration policy recorded negative support at a minus-six-point level, a shift from March when the rating was positive. Nonetheless, as noted by Andrei Roman, CEO of Atlas Intel, immigration remains the highest-rated area of Trump's policy, although it is currently slightly below positive.

Atlas Intel, based in São Paulo, specializes in market research and data analysis. It is considered one of the most accurate polling agencies in the United States.
