Terror strikes Turkish Aerospace Industries in Ankara
An explosion followed by gunfire occurred on Wednesday at the TUSAS aerospace and defense company in Ankara, according to Turkish media. "A terrorist attack has occurred," stated the head of Turkey's Interior Ministry.

"A terrorist attack was carried out on the premises of Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TUSAŞ) in Ankara," wrote Turkey’s Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya on social media.
For safety reasons, it has been determined that facility staff should head to the shelters," according to the Anadolu agency.
Terrorist attack in turkey results in casualties
The head of the Interior Ministry reported that as a result of the incident, there are fatalities and injuries. The Turkish Anadolu agency reported that rescue services were dispatched to the scene. Company workers were evacuated from the building.
Yerlikaya stated that the public will be informed about developments.
The Turkish Directorate of Communications and the Disinformation Combat Center also reacted to the incident. The institution urges the public to wait for information from official sources.
The first recordings from the scene have appeared online. They show the moment of the explosion and an armed person. There are also camera recordings from the scene showing potential terrorists.
"We condemn this treacherous terrorist attack. No act of terrorism can knock our country off its chosen path. They will drown in their own spilled blood," commented Celal Adan of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, where news of the attack reached during a session. The parliament was discussing the President's memorandum on extending the service period of Turkish soldiers in Lebanon as part of the United Nations Interim Force (UNIFIL) for another year.
