Why is Donald Trump not coming to Moscow?
Dmitry Peskov explained that there are no plans for Donald Trump to visit Moscow for the Victory Parade on May 9.
“There was no talk about this,” he conveyed.
More than 20 heads of state and government are anticipated at the parade. Slovakia's Prime Minister Robert Fico is among those expected to attend the ceremony in Moscow.
The head of EU diplomacy warns
The head of EU diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, addressed the issue of the parade. The former Prime Minister of Estonia warned EU partners, suggesting they should not participate in the celebrations organized by Vladimir Putin.
"Ms. Kallas, I would like to inform you that I am the legitimate Prime Minister of Slovakia – a sovereign country. No one can dictate to me where I can or cannot travel." Fico responded to Kallas' remarks.
Putin also responded to Kallas’ comments on Sunday, questioning whether European officials have the capabilities and readiness to act on their threats. He noted that making threats requires both the necessary means and the willingness to use them — elements he suggested may be lacking.
