Massive attack on Odessa

Last night, Russian troops launched a massive drone attack on Odessa, a city in southern Ukraine. The attack caused fires and injured residents. Local authorities reported that the intensity of fighting on the front has returned to levels seen before Easter.

The mayor of Odessa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, reported that drones struck a residential building in a densely populated district, causing a fire. Other residential buildings, an educational facility, and cars were also damaged. Rescue and municipal services are working at the scene.

The head of the military authorities of the Odesa region, Oleh Kiper, confirmed that civilian infrastructure in Odessa was severely damaged. Ukrainian air defense forces managed to shoot down 38 out of 54 drones, which attacked in the night from Monday to Tuesday.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that 165 combat engagements were registered in the last 24 hours. The most difficult situation is in the Pokrovske direction in the Donetsk region, where 61 armed encounters took place.
