Russian soldiers use brutal tactics on their own troops

The Russians are cruel on the front lines not only to Ukrainians but also to their own troops. How do we know? A recording circulating online shows a young Russian soldier tied to a tree, supposedly waiting for a drone to "greet" him.

New methods of punishment devised by Russian soldiers are unsettling. There are horrifying scenes, even amongst themselves. An online recording illustrates this clearly.

A young Russian soldier, introducing himself as "Maloy," was tied to a tree by two colleagues. This was intended as a new "punishment" for this soldier born in 2002.

Why did these Russian soldiers tie up their colleague? He was supposed to wait for a drone to "greet" him. The entire scene is visible in the online recording.

In the video, the soldier explains why he was "punished." He describes, somewhat chaotically, his fear-based refusal to carry out orders.

Ultimately, it remains unclear whether the young man tied to the tree was abandoned or if this was simply a method of "intimidation."

This is not the first instance of Russians mistreating themselves on the front lines. Many videos published online depict soldiers terrorized by their superiors. At times, they even "expose" their colleagues to Ukrainian drones, as seen with the young soldier in the video.

Many soldiers have been beaten by their superiors for reasons that were often trivial and unspecified. Some of these tortured and intimidated soldiers ended up in Ukrainian captivity, where they shared their wartime experiences.
