Why might the dishwasher not clean dishes thoroughly, or why might an unpleasant smell come from inside it? There are various possible reasons. These can include technical issues such as a damaged solenoid valve, a detergent dispenser malfunction, or a washing pump failure. More often, though, it's due to a lack of regular cleaning, which leads to food residue and deposits accumulating in hard-to-reach places. Here are some tips to address these problems.

How to take care of your dishwasher?

After the wash cycle is complete, it's a good idea to open the dishwasher door to allow the interior to air out and speed up drying the dishes. It's also worthwhile to regularly check the condition of the drainage and supply hoses to ensure they are in good shape. It's recommended that the dishwasher filter be cleaned at least once a week, and a sanitizing cleaning should be performed once a month.

To eliminate unpleasant odors from the dishwasher's interior, you can use a lemon. Simply cut it into thick slices, remove the seeds, place it on the dishwasher racks, and run a short cycle without loading any dishes. After just one cycle, you'll notice a fresh scent and a sparkling interior, thanks to the lemon-removing deposits. And what about poorly washed dishes?
