Simple apple baked goods are especially popular when we're short on time. Often, we just add pieces of fruit to pound cake or sponge cake. With just a few basic ingredients—flour, sugar, eggs, and, of course, apples—it's easy to create a delicious dessert that will delight anyone's taste buds.

Best apples for baking

Choosing the right apples for the cake is crucial to achieving the ideal taste and texture. For a diet-friendly cake, as well as other apple pies, sour varieties like Antonovka or Grey Reinette are excellent choices. They maintain their structure during baking and add a distinctive flavor. Their tartness perfectly balances the cake's sweetness.
