President Zelensky highlighted in a Sunday statement the intensity of Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities. He pointed out that Russia shows no willingness to end the conflict, warranting a decisive international response.

Zelensky reported that in the past week, Russia launched hundreds of attacks on Ukrainian cities and communities. The affected regions included Chernihiv, Kherson, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odessa, Poltava, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Sumy oblasts. The Russians employed over 1,020 assault drones, nearly 1,360 guided aerial bombs, and more than 10 missiles of various types.

This is definitely not the behavior of those who wish to end the war as soon as possible. Therefore, we must collectively apply pressure on Russia to halt its aggression, - Zelensky wrote on Telegram.

Sanctions and international cooperation

Zelensky stressed the need for decisive measures, including sanctions, which should not only be upheld but also continuously strengthened. The cooperation of Ukraine, Europe, America, and all those desiring peace is crucial to securing a just and lasting peace.

Ukraine, Europe, America, and everyone around the world who seeks peace - together we can ensure a just and lasting peace - added the president.

Vladimir Putin commented on the US-Ukrainian agreements regarding a potential ceasefire. He stated that Russia is interested in "lasting peace." According to him, achieving this will only be possible by addressing "the root causes of the conflict," which he did not specify.
