President Zelensky arrived in Brussels to attend this important session. According to his spokesperson, Serhiy Nikiforov, he will meet with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte during his visit.

The Ukrainian leader also plans to discuss the issue with Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever, European Council President Antonio Costa, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. He also has an audience with the King of the Belgians, Philippe I.

On Thursday, an extraordinary summit of heads of state and government will be held in Brussels, focusing on the changes in the United States' approach to Russian aggression in Ukraine. Since the last meeting of the "27" leaders on February 3rd, Washington has initiated talks with Moscow without the participation of Kyiv or its European allies and announced a suspension of military aid to Ukraine.

Zelensky's visit to Brussels aims to strengthen cooperation with European partners and discuss the current geopolitical situation. Meetings with key NATO and EU leaders are crucial to Ukraine's strategy in addressing the ongoing conflict with Russia.

Extraordinary summit in Brussels

The extraordinary summit in Brussels will include representatives from all European Union countries. Topics to be discussed include the unique plan for rearming Europe and achieving peace in Ukraine.

BBC analysts emphasize that "opposition can be expected from some European leaders sympathetic to Moscow." Remarks from Orban suggest this, as he does not want Ukraine to be mentioned in any written conclusions after the summit.
