US halts intel sharing with Ukraine, restricts UK access
According to media reports, the United States has stopped sharing intelligence data with Ukraine and has also prohibited the United Kingdom from passing any information to Kyiv.
The United States has decided to stop sharing intelligence data with Ukraine, reported Reuters, citing the British newspaper "Financial Times," which quoted anonymous sources.
"Such a decision could significantly impact the Ukrainian army's capabilities in the war with Russia," noted Reuters. Cooperation with the U.S. in intelligence was crucial for the Ukrainian armed forces.
The US prohibits the UK from sharing information
Foreign media also report that Washington has forbidden the United Kingdom from sharing any American intelligence information with Kyiv. For the first time since the outbreak of the war, the clause "Rel UKR" (Releasable to Ukraine, indicating the possibility of sharing) disappeared from the documents.
British military intelligence expert Phil Ingram, in an interview with the "Daily Mail," admitted that he expected such a move from the United States, as it may want to control the flow of information to Kyiv.
The U.S. has halted the delivery of weapons and military equipment to Ukraine. However, just yesterday, based on military and political sources, Ukrainian media assured that cooperation in the exchange of intelligence data has not been ended.
"As for the transfer or exchange of intelligence data, Ukrainian agencies have not yet felt any changes, everything is as it was before," assured one informant from RBC-Ukraine. Another emphasized that "this is a different line of cooperation."
