UFO sightings spark fear of alien invasion in the US skies

Stories about UFOs used to be the domain of science fiction movies and conspiracy theories, but today the subject has become part of serious public debate in the United States. Reports of unidentified flying objects, testimonies of military personnel, and government research have made belief in the existence of aliens no longer just a niche topic. Suggestions of possible contact—and even fears of a potential invasion—are increasingly appearing in the media space.

Since November, Americans have been posting photos and videos on social media showing unidentified flying objects with unusual lights. Conspiracy theorists are convinced: the flashes in the sky belong to UFOs that are starting an invasion of the United States. Many try to calm the situation by claiming these mysterious flying objects are actually drones, but alarmists are already spreading fear and anxiety.

Journalists from around the world are investigating unidentified flying objects appearing in U.S. airspace. These flying objects have been seen in New Jersey, New York, near LaGuardia Airport in Queens, and over the states of Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. The UFO issue was also addressed by Donald Trump, who wrote in a post published on Truth Social: "Mystery Drone sightings all over the Country. Can this really be happening without our government’s knowledge. I don’t think so! Let the public know, and now. Otherwise, shoot them down!!!"

Politicians and authorities from various states are calling on Joe Biden to take radical steps regarding drones or UFOs. Governor Larry Hogan wrote on X: "Last night, beginning at around 9:45 pm, I personally witnessed (and videoed) what appeared to be dozens of large drones in the sky above my residence in Davidsonville, Maryland (25 miles from our nation’s capital). I observed the activity for approximately 45 minutes".

The politician adds: "Like many who have observed these drones, I do not know if this increasing activity over our skies is a threat to public safety or national security. But the public is growing increasingly concerned and frustrated with the complete lack of transparency and the dismissive attitude of the federal government. The government has the ability to track these from their point of origin but has mounted a negligent response. People are rightfully clamoring for answers, but aren’t getting any. We are being told that neither the White House, the military, the FBI, or Homeland Security have any idea what they are, where they came from, or who has launched or is controlling them–and that they pose no threat. That response is entirely unacceptable. I join with the growing bipartisan chorus of leaders demanding that the federal government immediately address this issue. The American people deserve answers and action now."

Elon Musk himself commented on the unusual lights in the American sky. The controversial billionaire and owner of the X platform shared an image of various aircraft, each labeled as a drone, thus mocking Americans who can't distinguish a drone from an airplane, glider, or helicopter. In the description, Musk only included a laughing emoji.
