U.S. President Donald Trump suggested that Palestinians should be relocated to neighboring Arab countries, which would build new homes for them at their own expense. The Gaza Strip would become the "Riviera of the Middle East" under U.S. control.
Fidan described Donald Trump's proposal as unworthy of serious consideration. At the same time, the Turkish minister, in an interview with Al Jazeera Arabic, also addressed the situation in Ukraine.
He expressed hope for concrete steps towards the end of the war before the summer. "The security framework that Europe built with the US is now in question," added Fidan, suggesting that some countries may seek alternative security structures outside NATO.
