The US President plans to meet with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth to discuss the situation in Ukraine. As reported by The New York Times, American military aid to Kyiv may be suspended or terminated. This meeting is intended to respond to Sunday's gathering of European leaders in London.

The discussions will address the recent delivery of ammunition and weaponry, overseen by Joe Biden's administration. Earlier, "The Washington Post" reported that the USA is considering halting the process of delivering weapons to Ukraine. The British Prime Minister expressed hope that despite tensions, the USA remains committed to restoring peace between Ukraine and Russia.

In his post on the Truth Social platform, Donald Trump suggested that the USA should "worry less about Putin and more about migrant gangs, drug lords, murderers." "So that we don't end up like Europe," he concluded.

The British Prime Minister outlined points of the plan

During a press conference, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that the meeting aimed to bring partners together to support the initiative and efforts to reinforce Ukraine while ensuring a just and lasting peace for everyone's benefit. He also recognized that France and the United Kingdom now play crucial roles in providing aid and potentially maintaining a military presence in Ukraine.

Starmer said they would maintain military support for Ukraine while increasing economic pressure on Russia. He also announced a $1.9 billion allocation for 5,000 anti-aircraft missiles for Ukraine.

Starmer also discussed key action points.

The plan includes four key commitments:

  1. The continuation of military aid to Ukraine and increased economic pressure on Russia to bolster Ukraine’s position.
  2. Ensuring that any lasting peace secures Ukraine's sovereignty and security, with Ukraine actively participating in the discussions.
  3. Strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities even after a peace agreement to prevent future invasions.

Building a coalition of willing nations to uphold the agreement and maintain peace. While not every country may contribute, those prepared to act must begin planning now. The United Kingdom is committed to supporting these efforts with ground operations and aerial support, emphasizing Europe’s responsibility to take decisive action.
