The House Ethics Committee released a report making serious allegations against Matt Gaetz, a former congressman from Florida. The document indicates that Gaetz allegedly paid for sex with a 17-year-old girl, which is considered rape in the state of Florida. The report also reveals that the politician used drugs and obstructed the investigation.

Gaetz, known for his close cooperation with Donald Trump, was initially nominated for attorney general. However, his nomination was withdrawn due to the ongoing investigation.

The Ethics Committee report emphasizes that Gaetz regularly paid women for sex and received illegal gifts. The politician denies the allegations, claiming the money was for gifts.

According to the Polish Press Agency, the report's release is unusual. Similar investigations typically conclude at the end of the congressman's term.

Ethics committee members emphasized that their goal was to correct false information about the document's content. Gaetz now plans a career in media despite the controversies surrounding him.
