It's hard to imagine daily kitchen tasks without basic kitchen gadgets such as a frying pan, cutting board, rolling pin, or meat tenderizer. Of course, this is just a handful of useful tools that can streamline kitchen work.

Among such tools, you can also include a kitchen strainer. That's exactly what I want to focus on today. Why? Because very little is needed for even a very small kitchen gadget to serve us on a much larger scale.

A small strainer holds great potential

Do you have a small strainer in the kitchen that sometimes, due to its size, becomes difficult to handle? For example, you want to place it on a large bowl, but that's almost impossible precisely because of the gadget's size. In this case, the small strainer is not stable and slides to the center when set on the edges of a large dish, making it useless. But is it really?

Until recently, I had this problem too. However, it turns out that very little is needed to change the situation dramatically in our favor. All you need to do is combine the small strainer with another kitchen tool, and in the blink of an eye, increase the utility of the gadget. How? Let me explain!

Brilliant hack with the strainer as the main star

The key to success in this case is an inconspicuous spoon, which can be found in every home. This means no additional expenses. Moreover, the entire hack is so simple and quick that literally within seconds, you will increase the utility scope of a small strainer. You don't need any special cooking skills for this.

You surely noticed the small protrusion on the strainer. Perhaps you've wondered what it can be used for. It turns out it will be useful today. All you need to do is thread a small spoon through it. Of course, the thin end of the spoon is used for this purpose. The broader part should have direct contact with the strainer. And that's it. Thanks to this secure setting, you've created a stable structure that you can confidently use even on the surface of a large dish.

As you can see, very little is needed for a small strainer to be used much more frequently in the kitchen. Be sure to write to me about what you think of this solution. Or maybe you have other kitchen hacks you'd like to share with me? I would love to learn new tricks. As I always say, it's never too late to learn in the kitchen.
