Russian forces fortify Kalynove, eye offensive in Donbas

Russian occupation forces are actively fortifying the village of Kalynove in the Donetsk region by moving in infantry, organizing logistics, and setting up communication systems. They are also preparing for potential offensive operations towards Stara Mykolaivka and along the road leading to Kostiantynivka.

According to DeepState information, Russian troops continue to strengthen their positions in Kalynove. Infantry is being transported into the village, logistical routes are being planned, and communication systems are being established.

Are the Russians launching an attack in the Donbas?

Additionally, there are active preparations for a possible offensive towards Stara Mykolaivka and along the road leading to Kostiantynivka.

Analysts from DeepState consider the extensive use of enemy drones a serious threat to Ukrainian units in this section of the front. As reported by Ukrainian soldiers, crews of drone operators who previously participated in combat operations in the Kursk region have arrived.

"They are trying to destroy our logistics and are already flying unimpeded close to Kostiantynivka," emphasize Ukrainian military personnel on this section of the front.

Russians are also deploying forces to Zaporizhia

A few days earlier, Petro Andriushchenko, head of the Center for Occupation Studies and former mayor of Mariupol, warned that as many as 30 Russian trucks per day, marked with "V" and "Z" symbols and carrying ammunition and soldiers, are reaching areas near the Zaporizhzhia region in Ukraine.

As reported by The Moscow Times, Russia is attempting to prolong peace talks to occupy as much territory as possible. According to a source close to the Kremlin, Putin intends at all costs to gain full control over Ukrainian regions, the "joining" of which to the Russian Federation has already been codified in the Russian constitution.

The source from The Moscow Times mentioned that the current military forces are unable to conduct battles for Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, so they might try to seize other territories, such as parts of the Dnipropetrovsk or Sumy regions.

The occupied lands in other regions could then be exchanged for parts of the annexed regions that are not under Russian control.
