Drone retaliation: Russian base hit after Sumy attack
The Russian base in the city of Shuya, located in the Ivanovo region, was attacked by drones, according to local media reports. The target was the base of the Russian 112th Guards Rocket Brigade, from which Ukrainian Sumy had previously been attacked.
According to residents, at least five powerful explosions and the sounds of gunfire were heard in the city during the middle of the night.
The Shuya city administration reported a threat of drone attacks. Authorities urged city residents to stay indoors, avoid windows, and, if possible, move to the lower floors of buildings.
The target of the drone attack was the base of the Russian 112th Guards Rocket Brigade, responsible for attacking Ukrainian Sumy on April 13. Media reports suggest the attack was in retaliation for the Russians' bloody shelling, but the Ukrainian armed forces have not yet commented on the drone strike in the Ivanovo region.

This incident marks another instance of the base being attacked by drones, with the previous one occurring the day before. Russian media report that nine people died as a result of this incident.
In the Russian attack on the city of Sumy in Ukraine, 34 people were killed, including two children. More than 117 people were injured, among them 15 children.
The attack took place on Sunday around 10:15 AM Local Time. The missiles hit the city center as people were returning from or heading to churches for Palm Sunday, a day that is also observed in Ukraine. Many people were also walking along the boulevard in the central part of Sumy.
The attack elicited responses from Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Expressions of outrage also came from the United States, NATO, and many Ukrainian allies.
