Fourteen individuals were reported injured in the Russian drone attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia, located in the southeastern part of Ukraine. This information was provided by Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional authorities, during the night from Thursday to Friday. Earlier reports of a fatality were not confirmed.

Fedorov stated, "The Russians conducted at least 10 strikes on Zaporizhzhia. They attacked private homes, high-rise residential buildings, educational institutions, and infrastructure facilities." The attack took place on Thursday evening, and its impacts were felt throughout the city.

Local authorities have taken steps to protect residents and minimize the aftermath of the attack. Fedorov emphasized that the situation is being closely monitored, and emergency services are working on-site to provide assistance to those affected.

USA-Ukraine agreement

The United States and Ukraine announced the signing of an agreement that envisions the creation of a joint investment fund. The objective is to share future revenues from Ukrainian mineral resources. The agreement was announced by the Trump administration after months of challenging negotiations.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent highlighted that this agreement sends a message to Russia that the Trump administration is dedicated to a peace process aimed at ensuring Ukraine's freedom, sovereignty, and prosperity. President Trump envisioned this partnership as evidence of the commitment of both nations to lasting peace and prosperity in Ukraine, Bessent noted.
