Ceasefire failure?

The media highlights ongoing attacks on Ukrainian cities and villages, despite declarations of a potential ceasefire. In the Donetsk region, two civilians were killed on Saturday. In Kherson, one person died, and two were injured.

Reuters notes that on Monday, Russia announced a three-day ceasefire from May 8-10. Kyiv rejected this offer, suggesting instead a 30-day pause in hostilities as a starting point for further negotiations. Both Russia and Ukraine deny targeting civilian objectives in the ongoing conflict that Russia began on February 24, 2022, with a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, according to Reuters.
