Russian campaign stuns: Mothers of fallen soldiers get appliances
A shocking proposal by Russian authorities: On the occasion of International Women's Day, mothers of soldiers who died in the war with Ukraine were honored with meat grinders and mini ovens.
Russian propaganda continues to surprise, crossing new boundaries of absurdity. For the upcoming International Women's Day, the regime decided to commemorate the mothers of fallen soldiers in a highly unexpected way.
Gifts for the mothers of fallen soldiers
As part of the "Flowers for the Mothers of Heroes" campaign, the mothers of soldiers who perished in the war received bouquets of flowers, meat grinders, and mini ovens.
The campaign took place nationwide. On the United Russia party's social media pages, photos from the city of Polarnyye Zory in the Murmansk region were posted, showing the mayor and party representatives distributing the gifts to the women.
The photos quickly circulated on social media, drawing widespread criticism from netizens, infuriating party authorities. "For us, the most important thing is that the women themselves are pleased with the practical gifts, which will be useful in the household, especially since they were chosen based on their preferences and needs," wrote party representatives on VKontakte, dismissing the negative comments as a "provocation."
This is not the first time fallen soldiers' families have received such gifts. Previously, media reports indicated that the leader of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, presented the families of deceased servicemen with bags of potatoes and onions and bottles of oil.
