The Russian military carried out one of the largest drone attacks on Ukraine, deploying 214 unmanned aerial vehicles. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that most of these machines did not reach their targets.

114 Shahed drones and other types were shot down in the southern, northern, and central parts of the country. Additionally, 81 drones lost communication, which did not cause any negative effects.

In the fight against the drones, Ukrainian aviation, missile forces, and mobile groups equipped with anti-aircraft guns and heavy machine guns were involved.

Record-breaking attacks by Russia on Ukraine

The biggest attack this year, in terms of the number of drones, occurred on February 23, when the Russians sent 267 unmanned aerial vehicles. Another large attack took place on February 25, when 213 drones attacked Ukraine.
