The complete recipe, with step-by-step instructions, is available in the video.
Upside-down pizza has earned a permanent spot on my menu, and you'll likely feel the same!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 a red bell pepper (long),
- 1/2 a yellow bell pepper (long),
- 1/2 an orange bell pepper (long),
- 1 red onion,
- 8 slices of salami,
- 8 slices of chorizo,
- 5.3 oz of shredded mozzarella,
- 14 oz of pizza sauce,
- 10.6 oz of pizza dough,
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil,
- 3 tablespoons of grated Parmesan,
- fresh basil leaves for garnishing.
How to make it:
Step 1. Begin by preparing the toppings, chopping them into smaller pieces. Start with the colorful bell peppers, followed by the red onion.
Step 2. In an oven-safe pot, spread a small amount of olive oil at the bottom, add the chopped vegetables, and season with salt.
Step 3. Add slices of salami and chorizo on top of the vegetables. Don't forget the mozzarella and pizza sauce, spreading the latter evenly with a tablespoon.
Step 4. Place the pizza dough directly over the toppings, brush it with olive oil, and sprinkle generously with grated Parmesan. Bake in a preheated oven at 392 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
Step 5. Removing and flipping the pizza is simple with a large plate. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and enjoy!
