Despite facing numerous challenges recently, the British royal family has also enjoyed moments of joy and relaxation. Just last week, they celebrated Prince Louis's sixth birthday. A few days ago, Prince William and Kate Middleton shared a special photo for their 13th wedding anniversary, and now it's time to celebrate Princess Charlotte’s birthday. The royal couple's only daughter has just turned nine years old.

On May 2, 2015, at the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital in London, Duchess Kate and Prince William welcomed their first daughter. In celebration of Princess Charlotte's 9th birthday, an official new portrait of the birthday girl, captured by Kate Middleton herself, was shared on the royal couple's official social media account. The Duchess, known for her passion for photography and capturing family moments, authored the latest photo. Accompanying the portrait were birthday wishes for young Charlotte.

"Happy 9th Birthday, Princess Charlotte! Thank you for all of the kind messages today," the caption under the photo on Instagram reads,

In the published photo, Princess Charlotte is seen charmingly posing in a garden surrounded by blooming trees. The birthday girl, dressed in a maroon cardigan, navy sweater, and denim skirt, delighted fans with her smile. Numerous wishes quickly poured in under the photo, and discussions about the young princess's resemblance to her parents dominated the comments. While most users noted her resemblance to her father, there were also comments highlighting similarities to her mother.
