The National Intelligence Service of South Korea stated that North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region have been ordered to commit suicide if they face the danger of being captured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to South Korean intelligence, so far, about 300 North Korean soldiers have died in combat, and around 2,700 have been injured. The heavy losses were attributed to "a misunderstanding of modern warfare methods," including "useless shooting at long-range drones."
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky declared that Ukraine is ready to hand over Kim Jong Un's people, if he can organize their exchange for Ukrainian soldiers held in Russia.
"In addition to the first captured soldiers from North Korea, there will undoubtedly be more. It’s only a matter of time before our troops manage to capture others. There should be no doubt left in the world that the Russian army is dependent on military assistance from North Korea," he wrote on social media.
"Ukraine is ready to hand over Kim Jong Un’s soldiers to him if he can organize their exchange for our warriors who are being held captive in Russia," declared the President of Ukraine.
Zelensky emphasized that for those North Korean soldiers who do not wish to return, other opportunities may exist. For those North Korean soldiers who do not wish to return, there may be other options available. In particular, those who express a desire to bring peace closer by spreading the truth about this war in Korean will be given that opportunity," he stressed.
