He pointed out that if Moscow does not decide to implement a ceasefire in Ukraine, Washington must demonstrate its commitment by imposing sanctions.

Macron conveyed Europe's readiness to respond if there is no action from Russia. At a press conference in Singapore, he noted that he had spoken with U.S. President Donald Trump, who expressed his impatience on the issue.

I spoke 48 hours ago to President Trump who showed his impatience. The question now is what do we do? We (Europeans) are ready – Macron emphasized, as quoted by the New Indian Express.

Recognition of the Palestinian state

In addition to issues concerning Russia, Macron also addressed the situation in the Middle East. He emphasized that the recognition of the Palestinian state is "a moral duty" and "a political requirement." He added that Europe must adopt a firmer stance against Israel if the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip does not improve.
