There is no shortage of apples in Poland, and the first ones are already appearing on the apple trees. Some of them are worth turning into compotes or jams, and some can be turned into cake. Although apple pie and apple tart are the most popular, the lazy daughter-in-law's cake definitely deserves attention.

Apple cake could just as well be titled resourceful instead of lazy daughter-in-law.
