Donald Trump announced a new support program aimed at illegal immigrants who wish to voluntarily leave the United States. The plan includes providing financial assistance and airline tickets for their return to their home countries. The "self-deport" program proposes that “good” individuals may later return legally to the U.S. This initiative has sparked numerous comments, primarily among experts, but it's also become a rich source of humour for American comedians. Jimmy Kimmel shared his thoughts on the topic during his evening show.

Jimmy Kimmel on Trump and Melania

In his monologue, Jimmy Kimmel discussed Donald Trump's new immigration plan, which offers undocumented immigrants money and a plane ticket to leave the U.S. Kimmel humorously noted that this deal might be especially appealing to one immigrant in particular—Melania Trump. While it’s not accurate to label the First Lady, originally from Slovenia, as an "illegal immigrant," Kimmel referred to Trump’s marriages to women not born in the U.S. For example, Ivana Trump was from the Czech Republic.

Kimmel quipped that Trump usually gives money and plane tickets to immigrants during his divorces. "Melania’s like: ‘Am I eligible for this?’" Kimmel joked, hinting at possible perks for Melania.

According to Trump's plan, "good" immigrants who take up this offer could later return to the U.S. Kimmel humorously attempted to make sense of this proposal by comparing it to the services of Spirit Airlines.
