Unlike sugar and artificial sweeteners, which have practically no nutritional value, honey contains vitamins, minerals, and other compounds that positively impact health. Honey also helps strengthen the immune system. Thanks to this, coffee has become a more valuable drink.

Coffee with honey has some nutritional value, but the benefits aren't substantial enough for you to drink it without limits. Despite its valuable ingredients, honey contains a lot of sugar. Adding two teaspoons of honey to your coffee? That's about 40 calories and 12 grams of sugar. So, the sugar adds up if you drink several cups of this beverage daily. Therefore, it’s better to use honey in coffee occasionally.
Treat it like a dessert
Coffee with honey can be treated as a dessert. Mild honeys, such as linden or floral, particularly suit black coffee. Flavored honey works well for a strong espresso. An intense shot of espresso with a small addition of gingerbread honey or cardamom tastes great.
