Harris edges Trump by a hair in vital Michigan showdown
The latest survey from Rasmussen Reports and American Thinker, published three days before the election, shows Kamala Harris leading the race against Donald Trump in Michigan by just one percentage point. This narrow advantage is significant in the context of the upcoming elections.
Michigan remains a key swing state in the presidential elections in the USA. The latest survey highlights the minimal difference between the candidates. Kamala Harris, the current Vice President, leads Donald Trump by 1 percentage point. Rasmussen Reports and American Thinker conducted this survey from October 24-27.
Harris with a slight edge in a key state
The study included 908 likely voters from Michigan who responded to questions via phone and online. Harris received 49% support, while Trump received 48%. Additionally, 1% of respondents supported another candidate, and 2% remained undecided.
The previous survey by the same organizations published two weeks ago, indicated a tie between Harris and Trump, with each receiving 48%. With 15 electoral votes, Michigan is one of seven states that could determine the election outcome.
Americans will choose a president for the 60th time
On November 5, 2024, Americans will vote for president for the 60th time. In the race for the White House, seven key states (known as swing states) will be crucial. In the last presidential elections, the lead of one candidate over another in these states was no more than 3 percentage points. Three of them are industrial states from the "Rust Belt": Pennsylvania (19 electoral votes), Wisconsin (10), and Michigan (15). The others are sunny Southern states (the "Sun Belt"), which were Republican strongholds until recently – North Carolina (16), Georgia (16), as well as desert Arizona (11) and Nevada (6).
