Chocolate rice dessert
Rice with apples is probably known to everyone, being one of the most popular childhood desserts. In this recipe, the white grains turn into a velvety, decadent cream definitely worth the indulgence. It’s a great way to use up leftovers from the fridge and avoid wasting food.
After chilling in the fridge, the cream becomes quite hard and dense. If you prefer it smooth and mousse-like, take it out earlier and let it sit at room temperature for a bit.
Ingredients:
- 9 ounces of dark chocolate
- 1 cup of cooked rice
- 1/2 cup of hot water
- 4 tablespoons of cocoa powder
Preparation Method:
Step 1. In a blender, place the cooked and cooled rice. Add the hot water and melted dark chocolate from a water bath or microwave. Blend everything into a uniform mass.
Step 2. Transfer the ready mousse into a mold, bowls, or other containers. Place in the fridge for 2 hours.
Step 3. Take the mold out of the fridge and decorate the chocolate cream with cocoa. If you prefer it softer, wait a bit after taking it out to let it soften. Perfect for spooning as a dessert. Enjoy!
