Baked peaches with cinnamon and crumble
This dessert is perfect for almost any time of the year and any occasion. Whether it’s to satisfy a sweet craving after dinner or to impress guests during a family dinner with your mother-in-law, baking peaches has a significant advantage – you don’t have to worry if they are not perfectly soft to eat alone. In this recipe, the heart of the peach is not the pit but a delicious cinnamon paste made with butter and a hint of vanilla flavor. This simple addition transforms an ordinary peach into an exquisite dessert.
Ingredients:
- 3 peaches
- Olive oil for drizzling
Cinnamon Paste:
- 2 tablespoons soft butter
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Crumble:
- 7 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
Garnish:
- Cream ice cream
- Mint leaf
Preparation
Step 1. Start by preparing the crumble. Sift the all-purpose flour into a bowl, add the sugar, and pour in the melted and cooled butter. Knead the mixture until crumbles form, then place it in the refrigerator.
Step 2. Cut the peaches in half and remove the pits. Arrange the fruit in a heat-resistant dish, cut side up, and drizzle with olive oil. Place in an oven preheated to 350°F for 10 minutes.
Step 3. Meanwhile, prepare the cinnamon paste. Combine the soft butter, sugar, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Mix well.
Step 4. After the initial baking, add the cinnamon paste to the peaches. Sprinkle the previously prepared crumble over the top, and place back in the oven for another 15 minutes.
Step 5. Serve the baked peaches with a scoop of ice cream. You can also garnish with a mint leaf and some chocolate sauce for decoration. Enjoy!
