Germany and the USA are purportedly agreeing on a "clandestine plan" for Ukraine. Berlin and Washington won't compel Ukraine to engage in dialogue with Russia. It is projected that Kyiv should independently deduce the necessity to negotiate.

21 months since the inception of the Russian incursion, the situation in Ukraine appears grim; 17 percent of the nation remains under Russian occupation, with Russian troops progressing, albeit gradually, in the eastern part of the country," reports the German newspaper "Bild". However, political heads in Kyiv maintain a belief in victory over Russia's immense power. But, a significant influx of new weaponry from the West is required to achieve this.

"Bild" states that Western allies of Ukraine "now harbor completely different plans for the embattled country".

The newspaper asserts that the primary objective of the German government is to maneuver Ukraine into a  "strategically favorable negotiating stance", drawing from the present state of the frontline. Armed with this stance, the country should negotiate its "sovereignty and territorial integrity" with Putin's administration.

"Bild" underscores that the strategy was conceived with the accord of both Berlin and Washington.

Both countries, being the largest suppliers of weaponry to Ukraine, have resolved to persuade the government in Kyiv to engage in talks with Putin by manipulating the quality and quantity of weapons delivered.

Zelenskyy should independently conclude that the present state can't persist. Without any external insinuations, he should address his citizens by his own volition and proclaim that negotiations are imperative," a government representative explained to "Bild".

"The German-American stratagem entails supplying Kyiv with just the right amount of weaponry needed by the Ukrainian army to preserve the existing frontline, without having military prowess to reclaim the occupied territories," reports "Bild".

In this manner, President Zelensky should discern that continuing the warfare amid front-line stagnation ceases to be sensible.

"Putin unwilling to negotiate"

Military expert and researcher Gustav Gressel believes this plan will fall short. Gressel expressed to "Bild": In the West, there's a misperception that increasing pressure on Zelenskiy to negotiate would culminate in earnest negotiations. Putin doesn't intend to negotiate, he seeks to triumph in this war.

According to the portal's sources, an alternative plan - Plan B - is in the pipeline to reach the same outcome: a stalemate in the conflict.

The Chancellery disputes this information. "It is unequivocal to the federal government that Ukraine has to dictate its military and political objectives in defense against Russian belligerence. Germany remains steadfast with Ukraine. We will support Ukraine as long as it's necessary for its defense against the Russian onslaught. It's about defending sovereignty and territorial integrity, and thus the survival of Ukraine," the government spokesperson in Berlin declared. "We are constantly and closely communicating with our international partners," he communicated to "Bild".
