Invitations to the inaugural Global Peace Summit, happening in June in Switzerland, will soon be on their way to world leaders. Earlier in April, Zelensky expressed his hope for participation from 80-100 countries.

On Wednesday, Zelensky unveiled that Russia, excluded from the summit, intends to thwart it."We possess precise intelligence - concrete information - indicating that Russia aims not only to disrupt the Peace Summit but has devised a detailed plan to do so. This includes strategies to diminish the number of participating countries and actions designed to prolong the absence of peace," Zelensky informed during a meeting with international ambassadors.

He announced Ukraine's intention to divulge its intelligence about Russia's plot to allies. "And in unity, we must counteract this - we must collectively strive for a just peace," he advocated.

Zelensky emphasized that the summit in Switzerland is poised to establish the initial groundwork for peace.

"This marks the first significant stride toward peace throughout these years of conflict—the first substantial diplomatic effort. Despite numerous attempts and proposals, this unified platform represents an unprecedented initiative of this magnitude," Zelensky claimed.

The Kyiv Independent has provided insights into Ukraine's peace proposals. The plan includes the full withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukrainian soil, the reinstatement of Ukraine's territorial integrity, the liberation of all prisoners of war and deported individuals, measures to prevent ecocide in Ukraine, and the prosecution of those accountable for war crimes.
