Trump and talks in Istanbul

Earlier, US President Donald Trump suggested the possibility of traveling to Turkey for the planned Russian-Ukrainian talks. Trump announced that he would go to Istanbul if his presence could be useful.

On Saturday, the leaders of Ukraine, Poland, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom called on Russia to accept a 30-day ceasefire. Should Russia refuse, they are threatening with sanctions targeting the Russian energy and banking sectors. President Trump has also supported the ceasefire proposal.

It remains uncertain whether a meeting between Zelensky and Putin will take place. The situation continues to be dynamic, and international pressure on Russia is mounting.
