President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has announced plans for the inaugural Peace Summit in Switzerland, expecting participation from 80-100 countries. The exact date of the summit will be decided soon, as he stated during the information telethon "United News."

"We are expecting 80-100 countries to join us. We believe this summit will be a formidable gathering, a crucial one for peace efforts. It’s an opportunity for us to meet our partners and devise a plan for ending the war," President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed.

When queried about China's participation, President Zelensky mentioned that the list of countries is yet to be finalized.

"We aim to settle on a date for the summit within the next few days, hopefully not weeks. It requires a bilateral agreement between the President of Switzerland and me. Following that, we will extend invitations to world leaders in various formats," clarified the President of Ukraine.

The President underscored the importance of support from the United States for Ukraine.

"Understanding the timing for a Russian counteroffensive is crucial for gauging when we critically need a sufficient supply of weapons. Without financial support, acquiring the needed quantities would be impossible. I remain hopeful for a positive vote in the United States Congress," Volodymyr Zelensky remarked.

Discussing military needs, he refrained from specifying the number of Patriot systems Ukraine currently has. Still, he mentioned, "For optimal security, Ukraine would benefit from having 25 Patriot systems, each with 6-8 batteries in the future."

Ukraine keeps the United States updated about frontline situations and the immediate needs of its defense forces. Economic aid from the U.S. will bolster Ukraine's economy and support the Ukrainian armed forces.
