During a briefing on Tuesday, Zelensky expressed his readiness to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump in the Vatican, reports Ukrinform.

When asked whether a meeting between the leaders of Ukraine and the United States had been planned, Zelensky stated, "We are always ready to meet with our partners from the United States."

The funeral of Pope Francis, who passed away on Monday, will be held on Saturday at the Vatican. Many world leaders have announced their participation in the ceremonies, including U.S. President Donald Trump, who is expected to arrive with his wife Melania, as well as the President of Ukraine.

Last week, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that the United States may withdraw from attempts to bring about peace between Russia and Ukraine if there are no signs of reaching an agreement in the coming days.
