Zelensky on NATO. There is no doubt
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated in a recording published on Thursday evening that "Ukraine deserves NATO membership."
On Thursday, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg unexpectedly arrived in Kyiv for a meeting with Zelensky.
During a joint press conference that took place after the meeting, Zelensky expressed his optimistic observations about the future of Ukraine in NATO. - Today we are basically talking as allies. It's only a matter of time when Ukraine will also de facto become a member of the Alliance. We are doing everything to make this happen as soon as possible - he stated.
Zelenski: we are working on it
Later that same day, Zelensky once again emphasized his stance on Ukraine's membership in NATO. In a recording published on social media, the President of Ukraine reiterated his belief, saying that "Ukraine deserves membership in NATO".
- We are working on achieving practical progress in terms of joining the alliance - added the President of Ukraine. He assessed the meeting with Stoltenberg as "good".
