Zelensky lauds troops for downing Russian jet amid Easter warnings
On Saturday evening, Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukrainian defenders had destroyed a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft in the Donetsk region. "Good job, guys!" the President of Ukraine commended.
In his daily address, Volodymyr Zelensky highlighted the soldiers' achievements from the 110th separate mechanized brigade. "Today, in the Donetsk region, they brought down another Russian Su-25. Good job, guys!" Zelensky shared on Saturday.
A recent report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine notes that since the war's onset, Russia has lost a total of 348 aircraft.
Zelensky speaks out: an important appeal to Ukrainian citizens
The Ukrainian president has also cautioned the citizens about potential Russian provocations during the Orthodox and Greek Catholic Easter, celebrated on Sunday. He urged people to avoid gatherings, which the enemy's attacks could target.
Zelensky mentioned several attacks across Ukraine during the day, highlighting strikes in Kharkiv, Odesa, the Dnipropetrovsk, and the Donetsk regions.
"Even on the eve of Easter, the Russian threat continues unabated... It's crucial to remain exceptionally vigilant during these days," Zelensky stressed.
