Volodymyr Zelensky sharply criticized the recent Russian attacks on Ukraine, which took place overnight and on Saturday morning. As a result of these attacks, at least four people were killed. Zelensky described these incidents as another terrorist crime by Russia and called for increased pressure on Moscow.

Last night, Russia launched an attack on our cities using various types of weapons: missiles, attack drones, and aerial bombs. Another wave of terrorist crimes, stated Zelensky.

The heaviest attack occurred in Poltava, where a Russian missile destroyed a four-story residential building, killing three people and injuring ten, including a child.

Destruction in many regions

Attacks also affected other regions of Ukraine, such as Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, and Kyiv oblasts. In Kharkiv, one person was killed in a drone attack. Zelensky expressed condolences to the families of the victims. The President emphasized that every terrorist attack highlights the need for greater support in defense against Russian terror.

Every such act of terror proves that we need greater support in defending against Russian terror. Every air defense system, every interceptor missile, means a life saved. It is crucial that our partners take action, fulfill our agreements, and increase pressure on Russia, emphasized Zelensky.

Operational Command issued a statement

On Saturday morning, the Operational Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that, following Russian strikes on various targets, including those in western Ukraine, Polish and allied aviation had commenced operations in Ukrainian airspace.

Three hours later, a statement was issued on the conclusion of military operations in the airspace. The statement emphasized that no violations of our country's airspace were observed. The military assures that the situation is under constant monitoring.
