Volodymyr Zelensky recently visited Ukrainian soldiers at the front line again. On Tuesday, the President shared a video of his trip to the Kharkiv region. There, he surveyed the ongoing construction of trenches and concrete anti-tank obstacles, known as "dragon's teeth."

"The Kharkiv region. Fortification construction. I am grateful to everyone who works to strengthen Ukraine!." - Zelensky expressed in a post on social media.

The effort to strengthen fortifications in this area is strategic. Reports from the independent Russian outlet Meduza reveal that high-level individuals within Russian military circles consider the capture of Kharkiv, with its population of 1.5 million, a feasible military target.

Additionally, in late March, the Russian opposition portal Vyorstka reported that the Russian Ministry of Defense was plotting a substantial draft and secretive mobilization aimed at surrounding and seizing Kharkiv. The draft could potentially involve up to 300,000 individuals.

Is a Russian attack on Kharkiv imminent? Concerning reports emerge

According to the portal, Kremlin authorities seem to be orchestrating an attack on Kharkiv, which will likely initiate a new wave of mobilization. As per their analysis, the capture of Kharkiv could enable Russia to proclaim victory in the conflict with Ukraine, possibly leading to a phased cessation of military operations in the region.
