Zelenski is waiting for important news. "We want the world to understand and support us."

"On Saturday there will be important news for Ukraine, for our soldiers, for our entire country." - ended his Friday address, President Volodymyr Zelensky. In his opinion, the passing week has greatly strengthened the country. At the same time, he emphasized the importance of preserving the memory of the Holocaust victims.

In his Friday evening address, Volodymyr Zelensky called the passing week "significant," while Friday, in his opinion, was a day "full of emotions." That day Ukraine was commemorating the 82nd anniversary of the mass shootings of Jews by the Nazis in Babi Yar.

On Saturday, important news for Ukraine

Zełeński summed up the last few days as fruitful and strengthening the entire country. Saturday is expected to bring good news, also for soldiers. However, the leader did not reveal the details. He pointed out, however, that efforts are underway to build cooperation with the world.

- This week has significantly strengthened our country and our nation. Tomorrow [on Saturday - note. ed.] we will have important news for Ukraine: for our soldiers, for our entire country. We are working on ensuring that the coming weeks add strength to Ukraine: internal strength and the strength necessary for cooperation with the world. We want the world to hear us, understand us, and support us - Zełenski declared.

"Never again!" - a firm opposition to the Holocaust

As Zelensky explained, within a few days in September 1941, around 3,000 Jews were killed in Babi Yar, and during the entire Nazi occupation, the city lost approximately 100,000 people. In connection with the anniversary, the Ukrainian president reminded during his speech the slogan "Never again!" and emphasized how important it is to preserve the memory of war crimes.

"- It's very important to preserve the memory of these victims and of the fact that the evil of the Holocaust was defeated and punished. Ukraine preserves such memory. "Never again!". For us, for Ukraine, for the whole civilized world, these aren't just empty words. And it will always be so," Zelensky spoke.

Moral compass

The President of Ukraine also referred to the upcoming Teacher's Day. He stressed that the role of the school is not only to transmit knowledge and skills, but also to build character: "Education prepares and calibrates a person's moral compass (...) We see, especially in Russia, what happens when the education system fails. When the moral compass of people and society is broken. Evil prevails in such a country."
