The news of the former YouTube CEO's death was conveyed by her husband, Denis Troper. In a post published on Facebook, he shared details about Wojcicki's illness, saying, "Susan was not only my best friend and life partner, but also a brilliant mind, a loving mother, and a dear friend to many people."
Susan Wojcicki was also remembered by Sundar Pichai. In a farewell post on X (formerly Twitter), he emphasized her significant role in Google's history. "She was an amazing person, leader, and friend who had a tremendous impact on the world, and I am one of the countless people at Google who benefited from knowing her. We will miss her greatly," he wrote.
Susan Wojcicki made her mark in Google's history from the very beginning. 1998, she rented her garage to Sergey Brin and Larry Page, where Google Inc. was founded. Starting in 1999, she led Google's marketing department. In 2011, Wojcicki was ranked 16th; in 2012, she was ranked 25th on Forbes magazine's list of 100 most influential women.
