Yamaha XSR900 GP. Retro and racing fans will be delighted

The XSR900 model, introduced in 2016, has just received a special GP edition inspired by race motorcycles from the 80s and 90s.
The XSR900 GP is nothing more than a tribute to the most significant machines in Yamaha's motorsport history. It pays homage in terms of color, but primarily in form. Looking at the fairings, it is hard to believe that we are dealing with a contemporary design.
Yamaha's stylists rose to the task, combining modernity with retro style. An example is the tiny, lens headlight fitted into an impressive fairing, creating a cohesive whole with the windshield.
A lot is happening in the back as well. The deep seat with its angular finish looks like it has been directly taken out of the '80s. All of this combined with vibrant colors inspired by Wayne Rainey's successes in the World Grand Prix 500cc class in the '80s and the early '90s.
The XSR900 GP is powered by a CP3 engine with a capacity of 54 cubic inches mounted in a Deltabox frame, which has been the backbone of many Yamaha motorcycles for 40 years. The high-stiffness design improves not only safety but also steering precision.
On board, we can also find an IMU module that continuously measures acceleration in forward-backward, up-down, and left-right directions, as well as the machine's angular speed in rotation around the transverse horizontal, vertical, and longitudinal horizontal axes. The data are immediately sent to the support systems, correcting their operation for performance optimization.
The XSR900 GP also utilizes modern suspension and brake components. The KYB fork and shock have full adjustment, and a Brembo radial master brake pump with new conduits allows for better brake force modulation.
Customers should also appreciate the driving modes system and a module that allows communication with a smartphone. The offer also includes numerous accessories and two color versions.
Unfortunately, we do not currently know how many XSR900 units will be made, or what their prices will be. One thing is certain - there probably won't be a shortage of interested parties.
