Xabi Alonso set to lead Real Madrid in 3‑year coaching deal

Xabi Alonso, the former star of the Spanish national team, is set to become the coach of Real Madrid. This news was confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, a highly respected sports journalist. In the past, Xabi Alonso scored a goal against the Polish national team.

Alonso, a former player for clubs such as Real Sociedad, Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich, has been gaining experience as a coach over the years. He began his coaching career with the youth teams of Real Madrid and later moved to Real Sociedad, where he became the reserve team coach.

From Sociedad, Alonso transitioned to Germany, where he took on the role of head coach at Bayer Leverkusen. Under his leadership, the team won the championship and the national cup in the 2023/2024 season without losing a single league match. They also reached the final of the Europa League. His accomplishments caught the attention of Real Madrid's management, and he will soon be announced as their new coach.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Xabi Alonso will take charge of Real Madrid in June and will sign a three-year contract. He emphasized the certainty of the deal with his famous phrase, "Here We Go!"
