On the morning of October 7th, air raid sirens were heard throughout Kyiv. Russian forces launched Kinzhal hypersonic missiles towards the Ukrainian capital. Air defense systems shot down all of them.

At the sound of the alarm, Ukrainians hurried to find safety. Many sought shelter in metro stations, among other places.

The dramatic escape of the residents was recorded by a woman, who mocked the Ukrainians and spoke favorably about Russia's actions. She uploaded the clip online.

Arrested for praising Russia

The shocking video quickly spread online, and the police soon came across it.

During social media monitoring, the police found a video in which the woman arrogantly spoke about citizens heading to shelter during the air raid alert and praised the Russian aggressor,—Kyiv authorities reported.

Officers acted swiftly. In cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), they tracked down and detained the woman at a dining establishment near the train station.

It was reported that the woman was born in 2001. She is from the Donetsk region and recently lived in Kyiv.
