Choosing Wet Wipes for Laundry Use
- Durability - The wet wipes must be stronger than average - resistant to being torn apart by hand. They need to withstand the spin cycle in the washing machine. Otherwise, you'll end up having to painstakingly remove clumps of white lint from your clean laundry, which is far from enjoyable;
- Scentless - Ideally, the chosen wet wipes should be unscented. This is due to the possibility of fragrance transferring onto your clothes during washing, which may not be the desired outcome. However, if you prefer your clothes to carry a specific aroma, there's no harm in using scented wipes;
- Moisture - Wipes that have dried out will be ineffective. Ensure the packaging hasn't been left open for extended periods and that the product isn't old.
Using Wet Wipes for Laundry
- Avoid reusing the same wipes more than once for laundry purposes, as it greatly diminishes their effectiveness;
- For each washing cycle, only 1-3 wet wipes are required, irrespective of the number of clothes;
- If at all possible, use antibacterial wipes for the best outcome.
