Windows 11 users face hurdles as 24H2 update glitches emerge
Windows 11 24H2 has been released, and reports of errors are multiplying online. This highly anticipated update introduces many new features but may also cause problems.
Windows 11 24H2 is a long-awaited update that introduces a range of functions. Among the significant new features are additional options in Copilot+, enhancements to the taskbar and File Explorer, and new mechanisms to improve Wi-Fi privacy. As often happens, updates can cause some issues, and Windows 11 24H2 is no exception in this regard.
Problems with Windows 11 24H2
Issues have arisen after the update rollout, particularly during the initial computer setup, with untranslated interface elements appearing. This problem has affected users who previously did not opt for the optional KB5043178 update. Unfortunately, it seems this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Another issue is a Windows Update system file with a size of over 9 GB, which, for some reason, does not want to delete itself. Users have noted that traditional methods of deleting the file do not achieve the desired result.
SSDs not cooperating with Windows 11 24H2
Other problems include the disappearing cursor and a general slowdown in system performance after the update. There's also no shortage of blue screens of death, which some users of Western Digital SSDs have experienced.
According to Windows Latest, the problem affects some users of WD Black SN770 and WD Blue SN580 drives. It is advisable to be patient and wait for further instructions from official sources.
