Users of Windows 10 22H2 can expect the release of a valuable new update shortly. Testers within the Insider program already have the KB5039299 package to check. According to Windows Latest, it effectively solves taskbar and Windows Backup issues. The patch has appeared on the Beta and Release Preview channels, bumping the system build to 19045.4593.

The introduced fixes include improvements to the taskbar and search feature. Microsoft claims that bugs have been eliminated, and everything now works stably. To download the update, you need to be a member of the Insider program, use the appropriate Windows 10 update channel, and enable the option in Windows Update settings that ensures the fixes reach you first. This setting is also worth considering when using stable Windows 10 and 11 releases.

In the context of Windows 10 22H2 updates, it is important to remember that support for this version will end next year. The system will cease to be supported at the end of next year, and users will miss out on new features and security patches that keep Windows immune to known network attacks. Microsoft has long recommended considering an update, including the possibility of a free transition to Windows 11.
